Position Overview

SUMMARY

In the role of CNC Machinist, you will be tasked with the production of machined components through the programming, setup, and operation of CNC equipment. Your responsibilities will also include upholding quality and safety standards, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring that tools and supplies are well-maintained.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyze blueprints, sketches, and technical drawings to ascertain dimensions and setup specifications
  • Measure and mark materials to guide machining processes
  • Select and secure appropriate tools and materials for machine operation
  • Oversee machine functionality and implement adjustments as required
  • Document procedures and collaborate with team members effectively
  • Ensure finished products meet specified requirements
  • Operate machinery to confirm the precision of settings
  • Achieve production targets regarding both quantity and quality
  • Follow safety protocols and guidelines diligently
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation, free from hazards
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives

QUALIFICATIONS

To excel in this position, candidates should possess a high school diploma or equivalent, along with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience. Strong communication skills and the ability to work autonomously are essential. Experience in a lean manufacturing setting is advantageous.

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Conceptual thinking, process enhancement, effective verbal communication
  • Capability to work independently and resolve issues
  • Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles is a plus

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This position necessitates the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform tasks involving reaching, handling, and sitting. Good vision and the capacity to adjust focus are also required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment includes various machinery and equipment that may present hazards. Safety protocols are implemented to safeguard employees, and personal protective equipment is mandatory in designated areas.
