Troon Golf is seeking a skilled Mechanic - Equipment Repair Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on various golf course equipment, ensuring that all equipment is in good working condition.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on golf course equipment, including mowers, tractors, and other heavy equipment.
- Preventative Maintenance: Develop and implement a preventative maintenance program to ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and in good working condition.
- Parts Management: Order and manage parts and supplies as needed to ensure that all equipment is properly maintained.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed on all equipment.
- Knowledge and Skills: Possess a strong understanding of heavy equipment maintenance and repair, including knowledge of internal combustion engines, hydraulic systems, and mowing equipment maintenance.
- Physical Demands: Frequently stand and walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Occasionally sit, climb or balance. Regularly talk or hear. Regularly lift up to 10 pounds and occasionally may lift up to 100 pounds.
- Environment/Noise: Occasionally work in wet or humid conditions, with toxic or caustic materials, in extreme cold or heat, and may experience vibration. Regularly work in outdoor weather conditions and may face the risk of electrical shock or encounter fumes or airborne pathogens.
Requirements:
- Certificate: Possess a certificate from a college or technical school, or three to six months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination and experience.
- Licenses: Possess a valid driver's license and a Mechanics Certificate from a Gas and Diesel Engine Training Seminar.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Language: Ability to read and speak English may be required to perform the duties of the job.
