Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Royal Lahaina Resort. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the property is maintained in the best possible condition at all times.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on hotel equipment, including air conditioning systems, boilers, and HVAC units.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance on all equipment to ensure optimal performance and extend lifespan.
  • Take required readings on equipment and record data for future reference.
  • Test and maintain swimming pools and spas, including cleaning and repairing equipment.
  • Assist in supervising other engineering staff members and scheduling preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Perform and maintain work to local, state, and Federal codes.
  • Repair and finish sheet rock, repair all types of wall coverings, and paint designated areas.
  • Repair and program hotel electronic lock system.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or certification preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in maintenance or a related field.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of employees and guests.
  • Must be able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain regular attendance and adhere to Highgate Hotel Standards.
  • Must be effective in handling problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary.
