About the Role

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and goal-driven individual to join our team as a Voluntary Benefits Administrator. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in managing our voluntary benefits program, ensuring seamless interactions with clients and insurance carriers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of voluntary benefits in a TPA capacity, ensuring timely and accurate processing of payroll deductions.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with clients, providing exceptional customer service and support.
  • Collaborate with clients to initiate, modify, and terminate payroll deductions, as well as resolve any discrepancies.
  • Utilize insurance carrier resources to research status, paid-to-dates, and premiums waived, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Process cancellations, policy changes, recalculations, and rate increases, maintaining accurate records and communicating effectively with clients and carriers.
  • Provide timely and professional customer service to employees, clients, and insurance carriers via phone and email, resolving issues and addressing concerns.
  • Document all research and communications, maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Refund overpayments and bill for underpayments, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
  • Utilize IBM and Ebix Enterprise systems to manage and process voluntary benefits, ensuring efficient and accurate operations.
Requirements
  • 1+ year experience in billing and reconciliation, with a strong understanding of insurance carrier processes and procedures.
  • 1+ year experience in customer service, with a focus on providing exceptional support and resolving issues.
  • Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, Webex, and Teams, with the ability to learn and adapt to new systems and technologies.
  • Third-party administration experience and billing experience working with insurance carriers are highly desirable, but not required.
  • Spanish speaking and writing skills are a plus, but not required.
