Job Summary

The Center for Children with Special Needs is seeking an Insurance Specialist to support our growing behavioral health organization. In this role, you will be responsible for providing end-to-end support for prior authorizations across a variety of clinical services, maintaining clear and accurate records, and partnering with clinical team members to troubleshoot authorization denials and advocate for patient care where needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide support for prior authorizations, including verification management and authorization management
  • Maintain accurate records, including full documentation within existing workflows
  • Partner with clinical team members to troubleshoot authorization denials and advocate for patient care
  • Engage directly with patients/families and payors to address and resolve insurance-related questions

Requirements

  • Experience working in an office or healthcare setting, preferably in a behavioral health practice
  • Familiarity with commercial insurance payors
  • Experience working with an EMR (CentralReach experience highly desirable)
  • Familiarity with claims processing, denial management, and 3rd party billing companies is highly desirable
