NeighborCare of Chapel Hill, a member of the CommuniCare Family of Companies, is currently seeking a highly skilled Full Time Environmental Service Technician to provide exceptional support in resident care services.

Competitive Compensation: $35,000 - $45,000 per year, depending on experience.

Job Summary:

The Environmental Service Technician position plays a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and healthy environment for residents. This role requires a team player who can effectively work with colleagues to ensure that work is completed efficiently, effectively, and in a well-organized manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine housekeeping procedures to ensure a clean and hygienic environment for residents.
  • Report any unsafe conditions, defective equipment, or maintenance repairs to the supervisor in a timely manner.
  • Perform daily cleaning schedules as directed, including sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing areas.
  • Manage and maintain the organization of all areas where stock/supplies are kept.
  • Lock away cleaning supplies in designated areas at all times.
  • Wash and sanitize resident rooms after discharge, adhering to infection control policies and procedures.
  • Participate in scheduled training, education classes, and orientation programs to enhance quality of care.
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned or requested.

Requirements:

  • High school graduate or G.E.D. equivalent required.
  • Prior experience in a healthcare environment is highly desirable.
