Position Overview

As a pivotal member of the Hardware Engineering Division, you will spearhead the development of proprietary motherboards for our organization. Additionally, you will supervise the design efforts of our partners on behalf of OnLogic, ensuring that new products undergo rigorous testing and function as intended.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the hardware design team throughout the product development lifecycle, including circuit schematic design and PCB layout for highly reliable x86 and ARM-based products tailored for industrial applications. The hardware development adheres to established engineering methodologies and follows OnLogic's structured development process.
  • Define and implement electrical testing protocols, evaluate new products, and troubleshoot issues as they arise. Ensure thorough validation and resolution across all product areas.
  • Contribute to the development and evaluation of architectural designs.
  • Manage project timelines and enhancements for product designs.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing teams to create prototypes.
  • Engage with Product Management and other departments to explore and assess new circuitry and product innovations.
  • Generate and maintain comprehensive documentation, including block diagrams, checklists, manuals, BOMs, and test plans.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to uphold high product quality standards.
  • Share innovative ideas to elevate design methodologies to new heights.
  • Develop test specifications and scripts in collaboration with internal stakeholders and Contract Manufacturers (CM).

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Hardware Engineering focused on motherboard research and development, preferably within the PC industry.
  • Proven experience in leading cross-disciplinary engineering collaborations, including mechanical, electrical, firmware, and product testing.
  • Experience in guiding products from initial concept through to mass production.
  • Eligibility to work in the U.S. without requiring visa sponsorship.

Compensation and Benefits:

The salary range for this position is between $80,000 and $120,000, determined based on discussions with candidates and their relevant experience. We offer a competitive salary commensurate with your experience and the role's requirements, along with a comprehensive benefits package, including:
