Key Responsibilities:

  • Establishing material management practices that guarantee product availability to satisfy customer demand and maintain controlled inventory levels.
  • Negotiating supplier contracts and pricing, while continuously monitoring and evaluating supplier performance.
  • Assessing potential risks by forecasting product demand and integrating new strategies and suppliers without disrupting operations.
  • Maintaining supplier relationships and collaborating with Quality Assurance to ensure supplier performance meets company standards.
  • Tracking and reporting on essential performance metrics, utilizing business insights to propose and implement enhancements.
  • Engaging with customers and suppliers to address inquiries and resolve issues effectively.
  • Reviewing and refining supply chain processes in accordance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Facilitating internal and external audits.
  • Providing direct leadership to supply chain, planning, and inventory management personnel.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A solid business foundation with knowledge in resource allocation, strategic planning, management, production, and leadership principles.
  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Supply Chain/Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Proven track record in managing complex supply chains and implementing process improvements.
  • At least 7 years of experience in manufacturing, with a strong preference for candidates with a background in cabling or electronics.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the aerospace and defense sector, particularly with AS9100 regulations, is highly desirable, as is experience with government clients.
  • 3+ years in a leadership capacity with direct reports.
  • A strong commitment to Lean principles.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Root Cause Analysis, 8D methodologies, and a Continuous Improvement mindset.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and configuration management tools is advantageous.
