Job Overview

Helm is seeking a highly skilled Print Services Manager to oversee the management of our Print Services Department. This role will be responsible for the daily operation of Print Services, including budgeting, employee assignment and direction, department policies and procedures, and department KPI's/metrics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage department budgets and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Create and manage request and procurement systems to ensure efficient and effective procurement processes.
  • Maintain and certify vendor relationships to ensure high-quality print and fulfillment services.
  • Establish and administer KPI's and metrics to measure department performance.
  • Develop and manage department policies and procedures to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Manage print and fulfillment procurement processes to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of print materials.
  • Administer purchase orders and manage paper and supply inventory.
  • Provide training and development opportunities for employees to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Ensure adherence to company processes and procedures.
  • Manage print vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to ensure favorable terms.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in print management, including digital printing and fulfillment for books and variable high-volume and short-run letters/recall.
  • Extensive network of relationships and deep knowledge of print, bindery, and inmailing techniques and applications for supply chain outsourcing.
  • On-demand garment printing experience.
  • Ability to understand workflow and develop process improvements.
  • Knowledge of QuickBase and complex understanding of equipment financing and budgeting.
Education/Experience

BS/BA in Business or equivalent and 5+ years of print management experience, plus 5+ years of digital and offset experience with variable print and mail experience. Digital garment decorating experience – DTG/DTF/Dye-Sub/Screen Print/Embroidery.
