About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team at IVF Florida. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our fertility treatments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Measure and record vital signs, including weight, blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
  • Triage and process messages from patients and front office staff to physicians and nurses.
  • Ensure exam rooms are clean and prepared for patient appointments.
  • Record medical histories and prepare patients for exams.
  • Prepare charts for patient appointments and ensure all necessary information is completed.
  • Provide instructions to patients as instructed by physician or nurse.
  • Ensure all related reports, labs, and information is filed and available in patients' medical records prior to appointment.
  • Keep exam rooms stocked with adequate medical supplies and maintain instruments and equipment.
  • Take telephone messages and provide feedback and answers to patients, physicians, and pharmacies.
  • Maintain all logs and required checks, including refrigerator temperatures, emergency medications, expired medications, oxygen, and cold sterilization fluid change.
Requirements
  • Strong phlebotomy skills required.
  • High School diploma; Associates degree preferred.
  • Completion of a formal MA or Phlebotomy program preferred or 5 years of experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, demonstrated ability to follow-through, and high degree of comfort with computer applications, accuracy, and speed with data entry.
  • Minimum of one year of prior experience in healthcare and familiarity with medical terminology.
