We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team at IVF Florida. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our fertility treatments.
Key Responsibilities- Measure and record vital signs, including weight, blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
- Triage and process messages from patients and front office staff to physicians and nurses.
- Ensure exam rooms are clean and prepared for patient appointments.
- Record medical histories and prepare patients for exams.
- Prepare charts for patient appointments and ensure all necessary information is completed.
- Provide instructions to patients as instructed by physician or nurse.
- Ensure all related reports, labs, and information is filed and available in patients' medical records prior to appointment.
- Keep exam rooms stocked with adequate medical supplies and maintain instruments and equipment.
- Take telephone messages and provide feedback and answers to patients, physicians, and pharmacies.
- Maintain all logs and required checks, including refrigerator temperatures, emergency medications, expired medications, oxygen, and cold sterilization fluid change.
- Strong phlebotomy skills required.
- High School diploma; Associates degree preferred.
- Completion of a formal MA or Phlebotomy program preferred or 5 years of experience.
- Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail, demonstrated ability to follow-through, and high degree of comfort with computer applications, accuracy, and speed with data entry.
- Minimum of one year of prior experience in healthcare and familiarity with medical terminology.
