Key Responsibilities- Customer Service: Engage with customers through smiles and greetings, offer product information, provide selling suggestions, and actively sample products to ensure a positive shopping experience.
- Store Operations: Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly check stand/sales counter and work production areas, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for customers and team members.
- Product Preparation: Prepare, wrap, box, weigh, slice, and stock deli/food service products, rotating them as necessary to ensure product quality and safety.
- Cash Handling: Process cash register transactions, give back change, and refunds, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Inventory Management: Monitor product pricing, signage, and placement, as well as the use of product shelf tags and shelf signage.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with fellow team members to achieve sales goals, maintain a positive store environment, and provide exceptional customer service.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Age: At least 18 years old.
- Transportation: Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
- Certifications: Serv-Safe certification preferred.
- Skills: Basic business math calculations, ability to learn and use register, scales, scanners, and debit/credit terminals, and effective communication and teamwork skills.
As a Food Service Associate at Global Partners, you will work in a fast-paced retail environment, interacting with customers and team members daily. You will be required to stand for long periods, bend, and twist, and frequently lift and/or maneuver merchandise and supplies. You will also work in walk-in coolers and freezers, and be exposed to various temperatures and environments.
