We offer an environment that motivates and empowers you to excel both personally and professionally. RSM is in search of a dedicated Senior Audit Supervisor to become a vital part of our National Real Estate Practice teams.

Our National Real Estate Practice caters to both public and private clients, including real estate private equity funds, advisors, institutional investors, joint ventures, hospitality sectors, developers, and operators of commercial, retail, and multifamily properties.

Joining the Real Estate Practice will provide you with exposure to various business lines within the industry, including but not limited to cost segregation studies, purchase price allocation, lease consulting, and other specialized valuation services.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver timely, high-quality client service that meets or surpasses client expectations, including coordinating the auditing of all necessary financial statements and related disclosures.
  • Evaluate risks and design, communicate audit procedures to engagement teams.
  • Oversee multiple engagement teams and prepare end-of-engagement evaluations for staff.
  • Understand the skill sets of Senior Associates and Supervisors, monitor and review their work, and provide performance feedback throughout the process.
  • Supervise Audit Seniors and Supervisors on engagement teams, facilitating fieldwork by monitoring productivity and adherence to work plans.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with clients to understand significant developments in their business and assess impacts on current audit engagements.
  • Support the development of team members through training, career advice, and participation in firm initiatives.
  • Stay informed on industry publications and share relevant insights with clients.
  • Proactively address client concerns and escalate issues as necessary.
  • Understand RSM's service offerings and identify opportunities for valuable introductions within the firm.
  • Develop strategies to leverage external relationships to drive business growth.
  • Manage project profitability and identify accounting and auditing matters for Senior Managers and Partners.
  • Identify opportunities for performance improvement and ensure ongoing professional development through education.
  • Stay updated on the latest developments affecting GAAP and the Firm's standards.
  • Willingness to travel as required.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • CPA or CA certification.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in a public accounting environment.
  • Experience in leading teams and mentoring associates.
  • Strong understanding of audit services and knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, and FASB or IFRS regulations.
  • Proven track record of building sustainable client relationships.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in a team lead or in-charge role overseeing multiple engagements.

Preferred Qualifications:

A successful history of directing and deploying staff and senior associates on multiple, simultaneous engagements.

Compensation for this role ranges from $86,500 to $163,900, with eligibility for a discretionary bonus based on individual and firm performance.
