Job Overview

Premier Protective Packaging is seeking an experienced Sales Representative to join our team in Walker, MI. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for developing new business opportunities and cultivating existing relationships with industrial packaging distributors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prospect and develop new sources of business through telephone marketing and outside personal sales calls
  • Cultivate business relationships with key decision-makers
  • Develop and implement a sales strategy to achieve company sales goals and revenues
  • Set individual sales targets and monitor online sales activity
  • Investigate lost sales and customer accounts
  • Forecast annual, quarterly, and monthly sales revenue
  • Generate timely sales reports and analyze data to identify sales opportunities
  • Attend trade meetings and industry conventions to stay up-to-date on industry trends
  • Respond to inquiries in a timely manner and maintain up-to-date prospect information

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Business or sales-related curriculum
  • 5 years of sales experience, with 1.5 years in flexible packaging or 3+ years in the packaging industry
  • Experience calling on industrial packaging distributors a plus
  • Knowledge of Polypropylene, Polyethylene, foam, bubble, and non-woven spun bond polypropylene protective packaging materials a plus
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Fluent with Microsoft Office
  • Ability to professionally resolve customer issues

What We Offer:

  • Competitive salary range: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
  • Commission and other incentive pay

Travel Requirements:

This is a non-remote position, and the Sales Representative is expected to be at the Company's office except when traveling and visiting customer sites. Travel required approximately 60% of the time, primarily in the Great Lakes States.
