Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct precise patient registration and insurance verification, ensuring the collection of all vital information necessary for accurate patient identification, registration, and billing.
- Engage with patients and healthcare offices in a courteous, positive, and respectful manner, delivering consistent and exceptional customer service across various scenarios.
- Adhere to hospital policies regarding point-of-service cash collection, including balancing, batching, and depositing.
- Review and rectify error reports provided, ensuring all corrections are made prior to the end of your shift.
- Handle all incoming departmental calls and appropriately distribute them as needed.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications Required:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Proficient computer skills and typing ability.
- Strong customer service aptitude.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a patient access role within a healthcare setting.
- Familiarity with third-party insurance processes and medical terminology.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is highly desirable.
