Key Responsibilities
The Culinary Service Assistant is tasked with the following duties:

  • Setting up the serving line efficiently and effectively.
  • Delivering appropriate food portions to clients while adhering to dietary guidelines.
  • Cleaning and sanitizing workspaces to uphold health and safety standards.
  • Updating communication devices and recording dietary changes as necessary.
  • Answering phone inquiries and relaying important information to the relevant parties.
  • Preparing and distributing patient menu requests and tallying responses.
  • Delivering nourishment to patients in a timely manner.
  • Handling cash transactions in accordance with established procedures.

Customer Service Focus
As a Culinary Service Assistant, you will also be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere by greeting patients, visitors, and colleagues with a friendly demeanor. Your approach should convey a genuine willingness to assist and serve.

Qualifications
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

  • The ability to read and comprehend recipe instructions and dietary orders.
  • Flexibility in scheduling to meet the needs of the department.
  • A commitment to maintaining a professional appearance and work environment.
  • A positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills.

Additional Information
This position is classified as PRN/as needed, meaning it does not include benefits and shifts will be determined based on departmental requirements. Rotating weekend shifts may be required.
