Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as a Deterrent: Provide a visible, uniformed presence in assigned neighborhoods to deter unwanted behavior and activity.
  • Observe and Report: Monitor areas for suspicious activity and report incidents to local authorities via established communication methods.
  • Address Unwanted Activities: Firmly and courteously request compliance from individuals engaging in low-level quality of life crimes.
  • Provide Hospitality and Customer Service: Greet pedestrians, provide directions, and assist residents and visitors.
  • Stakeholder Relations: Collaborate with local agencies to communicate criminal activity and develop strategies to address quality of life issues.
  • Establish Relationships: Build relationships with neighborhood leadership, provide feedback, and participate in problem-solving efforts.
  • Reporting: Develop and document incident reports, action plans, and daily accomplishments.
  • Professionalism: Maintain a positive, professional environment in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company standards.
  • Attendance: Ensure timely and regular attendance to meet productivity standards.
Requirements
  • Physical Abilities: Ability to walk or ride a bike continuously during an eight-hour shift, work outdoors in all conditions, and lift 25 pounds.
  • Licenses/Certificates: Possession of a valid Ohio driver's license and successful registration of OPISGS security license.
  • Schedule: Availability to work seven days a week, with shift times from 1:30pm-10:00pm, five days a week, and some weekend availability.
  • Experience: Verifiable prior case management experience, with 3-5 years preferred.
