Market Development Manager/Director

About the Role

Alvarez & Marsal is seeking a highly motivated Market Development Manager/Director to join our Tax practice. As a trusted advisor to our practice leaders and the Tax Sales Enablement & Revenue Growth team, you will play a key role in executing our practice strategic growth vision. Your expertise will help increase and sustain awareness of our practice capabilities, successes, and growth plans across various channels, including digital, print, and events.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive marketing strategies to achieve practice growth objectives.
  2. Support market event and sponsorship strategy, planning, and execution, including roundtables, podcasts, and other events.
  3. Plan, execute, and monitor marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital, print, and events, to increase practice visibility and awareness.
  4. Collaborate with corporate marketing and the Sales Enablement teams to execute on initiatives and drive practice growth.
  5. Facilitate internal and external communication strategies to promote practice capabilities and successes.
  6. Support client delivery partners in market development activities, including go-to-market campaigns and pitch support.
  7. Engage in business development research, including identifying new target accounts and account relationship mapping.
  8. Support the practice and global Tax Key Account Management process, including engagement with reporting related to the practice.
  9. Drive the capture of client successes through the project close process, including soliciting project artifacts, value statements, qualifications, proposals, and deliverables from project teams.
  10. Develop and execute a comprehensive knowledge-sharing strategy to promote practice capabilities and successes.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree required.
  2. Minimum five years of progressive leadership, program management, marketing, and business development support and/or account management experience.
  3. Experience within a complex, matrixed environment with multiple stakeholders and decision makers.
  4. Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills, with existing or quickly established relationships with stakeholder individuals and groups at all levels across the firm.
  5. An innovative mindset that can think strategically with a strong ability to execute tactically.
  6. Ability to adapt, learn quickly, and be resourceful, flexible, and willing to pivot to keep pace with evolving needs.
  7. Project experience in the relevant market area preferred.

What We Offer:

Alvarez & Marsal offers a competitive salary range of $125,000 - $150,000 annually, dependent on several variables, including education, experience, skills, and geography. You will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus program based on individual and firm performance. Additionally, you will receive a comprehensive benefits package, including health, life, and disability insurance, as well as a 401(k) retirement plan with a discretionary contribution from Alvarez & Marsal.
