We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Project Specialist at Harper College. As a key member of our Marketing Services department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful execution of projects that align with our college branding and identity standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement project management strategies to ensure timely and budget-friendly delivery of graphic services.
  • Manage and coordinate with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Graphics, and Publishing, to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Provide expert guidance and training to team members on production and prepress processes, including preflight, layout, imposition, and color correction.
  • Research and recommend new technologies and best practices to improve project management and graphic design processes.
  • Develop and maintain project management software, including Ignite, to ensure efficient and effective project execution.
  • Manage vendor communication and documentation to ensure compliance with contracts and agreements.
  • Lead cross-departmental production meetings and follow up with team members on action items.
  • Responsible for day-to-day direction and mentoring of student and/or part-time workers.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of five years' experience in graphic design and print production.
  • Expertise in current version of Adobe Creative Suite and other graphic arts software.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Macintosh Operating System.
