- Develop and Implement Care Plans: Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare teams to design and implement individualized treatment plans that address their unique needs and goals.
- Administer Medications and Treatments: Safely administer psychotropic medications and other treatments as prescribed by physicians, monitoring patient reactions and adjusting treatment plans as needed.
- Provide Emotional Support and Education: Assist patients in understanding their emotional disturbances and accepting the need for treatment, promoting a safe and secure environment for staff and patients.
- Document Patient Information: Accurately record patient data, including medical history, treatment plans, and progress notes, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and maintaining patient confidentiality.
- Collaborate with Healthcare Teams: Work closely with psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support for patients.
- Maintain Accurate Records: Ensure timely and accurate documentation of patient treatments, immunizations, and laboratory results, adhering to standard medical recordkeeping practices.
- License: Current NY State License as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience as an Adult Inpatient Psychiatric Nurse, with a strong background in telemetry and mental health care
We offer a competitive compensation package, including:
- Hourly Rate: $33/hour
- Overtime Rate: $49.50/hour
- Weekly Stipend: $1,484/week
- Weekly Gross Eligibility: $2,672/week
