Strategic Procurement Manager - IT, Mobility, Marketing and HR Services

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Procurement Manager to lead our procurement practices and facilitate continuous improvement. The successful candidate will provide functional leadership for procurement practices and manage the successful partnership between Wacker's internal customers and suppliers to achieve the lowest total cost of ownership.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct business tenders and lead joint meetings with stakeholders to review requirements, specifications, new or existing sources of supply, forecasts, and recommendations for reduced procurement spend.
  • Develop and implement negotiation strategies that satisfy the objectives of Business Divisions and Wacker Corporate Departments.
  • Negotiate and draft contracts and contract amendments, and research and understand market conditions, supplier performance, and economic forecasts.
  • Perform tactical tasks in SAP and prepare strategy and cost reduction initiatives for presentation to stakeholders.
  • Schedule periodic reviews, supplier visits, and attend industry-specific events.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, or related discipline required; Master's Degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years prior procurement experience in a large global/multinational company, preferably within Chemical, Manufacturing Industries.
  • Excellent persuasive and presentation skills, strong analytical, financial, and research capabilities, and prior leadership role in contract management, RFQ bid process, writing SOW documents, commercial variables.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills, ability to communicate with all levels of management internally and external to Wacker, and good understanding of negotiation strategies and risk management.
  • Excellent and proven negotiation skills, ability to read, understand, and write legally binding contracts, and ability to work within a global matrix organization.
  • Subject matter expert level experience in IT hardware and software procurement categories, experience sourcing and developing/executing strategies in the following categories (Travel, Professional Services, HR & Benefits), and proficiency with SAP & Ariba Procurement Modules.
