Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Float Pool team at Kaiser Permanente in Clackamas, Oregon. As a critical care nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care and coordinate with other healthcare disciplines to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment: Conduct thorough multi-system assessments, identifying deviations from normal and reassessing patients throughout their hospitalization.
  • Planning: Develop individualized nursing plans of care, coordinating with other departments and community agencies to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Implementation: Initiate appropriate measures based on protocol, accurately documenting patient care and medication administration.
  • Evaluation: Evaluate assessment methods, plan of care, and patient response to treatment, participating in unit quality assurance activities.
Requirements
  • Minimum 9 months of RN experience, with 3 years of recent ICU critical care experience and demonstrated expertise.
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program, with a Registered Nurse License in the state where care is provided.
  • NIH Stroke Scale Certificate within 3 months of hire, Basic Life Support required at hire, and Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous healthcare experience, with a Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field.
  • 5 years of recent ICU nursing experience, with CCRN and PALS certifications.
