Position Summary

Spectra is in search of a seasoned and innovative Vice President of Operations to spearhead our strategic initiatives within the food service and hospitality domains for our operations in Mexico. This executive role encompasses overseeing operational functions, driving growth, and upholding the highest standards of service and client satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have a proven history of leadership within the industry, demonstrating the ability to innovate and motivate teams to achieve outstanding outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the management team in daily operations, including financial oversight, sales and marketing, culinary management, and operational functions.
  • Align and operate the division to fully utilize shared services and functions within Spectra, maximizing efficiencies in systems and programs.
  • Develop and implement strategic business plans to meet corporate objectives.
  • Prepare and report on annual budgets, monthly operational results, and forecasts in collaboration with financial planning and analysis.
  • Identify growth strategies and opportunities, working closely with business development to expand core operations leveraging existing relationships.
  • Enhance client satisfaction and retention through a client-centric approach and high-quality operational practices.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, fostering strong and positive relationships with stakeholders.
  • Guide sales and marketing strategies, focusing on critical brand management and positioning.
  • Develop a high-impact leadership team through effective talent development and performance management.
  • Serve as a key spokesperson, representing the brand and division to external industry stakeholders and internally within Spectra.
  • Maintain operational standards to ensure quality and consistency of services, adhering to company and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations in Mexico, effectively mitigating risks.

Qualifications

  • Extensive knowledge and operational experience in the food service and hospitality management sectors.
  • A minimum of 15 years of diverse experience managing various aspects of catering, food service, restaurant, retail, and hospitality operations.
  • Preferred experience with multi-unit portfolio management.
  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in hospitality, culinary arts, food service management, or a related field.
  • Expertise in contract negotiations and leasing, with union experience required.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in managing operating budgets, business modeling, capital planning, and key performance indicators.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strategic thinking capabilities and experience in business development activities.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is required.
