We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Elevator Operations Assistant to join our team at Zeeland Farm Services I. As an Elevator Operations Assistant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our elevator systems, including mixing feed, loading/unloading commodities, and maintaining equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Feed Mixing Operations: Operate feed mixing machinery, including conveyors, blowers, and mixers, to produce high-quality feed products.
- Equipment Maintenance: Lubricate, adjust, and perform minor repairs on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and production.
- Commodity Handling: Load and unload commodities, including sacks, boxes, and guides, to ensure accurate and efficient processing.
- Quality Control: Monitor equipment operation to detect malfunctions and take corrective action to maintain production standards.
- Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all company and regulatory safety policies and procedures, and report any potential safety issues to management.
- Education: High School or Equivalent
- Experience: 6 months to 1 year of experience in a related field, preferably with experience mixing feed products.
- Skills: Ability to safely operate heavy equipment, adapt to changes in the work environment, and communicate effectively with colleagues and management.
The Elevator Operations Assistant will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts, high temperatures, and loud noise levels. The ability to lift and move up to 75 pounds is required.
