Job Summary

Woodward is seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembly Technician to join our team on the 2nd shift. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for assembling, installing, and testing mechanical components and subassemblies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble and/or perform preset calibration/final testing of mechanical components and subassemblies.
  • Clean parts and maintain tooling and equipment per proper work instructions.
  • Assemble, install, align, adjust, and fit subassemblies and parts or auxiliary equipment using appropriate tools and equipment as per work instructions.
  • Follow work instructions associated with assembly skills to become certified for work being performed.
  • Perform test stand preset calibration and final test of product.
  • Notice inconsistencies/faults in parts, equipment, or production processes to prevent faulty products leaving the facility.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • No related work experience required, but mechanical aptitude is essential.
  • Ability to see details clearly to accomplish work tasks in a safe and efficient manner and possessing strong hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to perform simple arithmetic computations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division correctly using whole numbers, fractions, decimals, and percentages.
  • Ability to process multiple types of information and/or perform multiple tasks simultaneously and the ability to follow work orders efficiently.
  • Moderate physical activity requiring agility and dexterity, including walking, standing, or bending; and lifting or moving objects.

  • Estimated annual base pay: $16.49-$20.63 (midpoint)-$24.76.
  • Second shift receives a 15% shift differential.
