MEP Superintendent Job Description

Aristeo is seeking an experienced MEP Superintendent to lead our construction projects in Liberty, North Carolina. As a trusted member of our team, you will be responsible for supervising and directing field teams to ensure the safe and successful completion of projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate subcontractors to ensure compliance with contracts
  • Act as First-In-Command on projects and maintain a professional, courteous, and respectful attitude towards all team members
  • Assume responsibility for productivity, efficient use of materials and equipment, and contractual performance of the project
  • Provide technical input to the estimating process and monitor worker and subcontractor safety
  • Investigate accidents and fill out accident reports
  • Conduct morning huddles, safety meetings, and progress meetings as required
  • Act as a safety champion and enforce safety rules
  • Review project scope, plans, and specifications, and ensure compliance with safety, security, and environmental regulations
  • Implement safety and security programs, including setting up office and laydown areas
  • Establish project survey and base layout control and benchmarks
  • Expedite and provide direction to staff for self-performed work, and ensure quality, cost, schedule, and client satisfaction goals are met
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with customers, AE, subcontractors, labor, and other construction team members
  • Maintain required project documentation, including plans, specifications, as-builts, shop drawings, samples, inspections, test reports, meeting minutes, and daily logs
  • Provide daily field reports and maintain records of changes in scope and schedule
  • Handle labor relations and jurisdictional disputes, and assist with closeout requirements
Requirements:
  • 8+ years' experience as a Superintendent on Industrial projects, leading large, multi-union crews
  • Extensive knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems
  • Experience working with MEP trades
  • 4 years' of technical training and/or related experience or 4-year engineering degree
  • 10 hours of MIOSHA Class
  • OSHA 30 and/or MUST Modules
  • First Aid and CPR Class
  • Accident Investigation Class
