Program Overview

Comcast's internship/co-op program is designed to provide students with a comprehensive learning experience, fostering meaningful relationships, developing strong interpersonal and business skills, and gaining exposure to the day-to-day operations of a Fortune 30 media and technology company.

This program immerses students into the daily operation of a contemporary media and technology company, working side-by-side with Comcast's top innovators on creative, innovative, and thought-provoking projects within various business units.

Role Description

You'll be working with the best and brightest minds in Comcast, building systems and metrics that are reusable. As a Site Reliability Engineer Intern, you'll assist in all aspects of the deployment and automation process, including research, implementation, testing, and documentation.

This role provides a hands-on experience in managing large-scale systems and preparing you for a career in Site Reliability Engineering by exposing you to real-world challenges and solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Assisting in managing cloud infrastructure (AWS) and on-premises data centers.
  • Provisioning and configuring new services and systems as needed.
  • Analyzing system usage trends and planning for capacity upgrades.
  • Identifying performance bottlenecks and working with teams to optimize system performance.
  • Monitoring the performance and availability of systems and services.
  • Responding to alerts and incidents promptly to ensure system reliability and uptime.
  • Documenting operational procedures, configurations, and best practices.
  • Following security best practices and assisting in security incident response efforts.
Requirements
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree from a United States-based college or university.
  • Rising Junior or Rising Senior only (must have a graduation date between Winter 2025- Spring 2027).
  • Returning to degree-program (for at least a semester) after the completion of the summer internship (meaning, student must be returning to school for Fall 2025 semester before graduating).
  • Available to work 40 hours per week over the course of the summer program- June 2 through August 15, 2025.
  • Authorized to work in the United States with no current or future sponsorship needs.
  • Available to report in-person to the work location on the job posting (unless virtual offering).
