About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Merchandise Planner to join our team at Arhaus. As a Merchandise Planner, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and profitability by developing and executing strategic plans for our product categories.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and maintain monthly department and item financial plans for assigned categories, partnering with Product Developers and Merchants to identify and implement strategies to achieve approved plans.
  • Category Management: Lead and execute quarterly/seasonal Hindsight process, inclusive of fiscal view and seasonal view, as well as other product attributes.
  • Inventory Optimization: Develop annual, seasonal, and merchandise plans for assigned product categories, in accordance with company goals, historical performance, and trend analysis.
  • Business Analysis: On a weekly basis, initiate and oversee analysis of business trends, including category performance, channel selling, margin drivers, and seasonality.
  • Markdown and Promotional Strategy: Own Markdown and Promotional strategy setting and execution to hit sales, margin, and inventory targets for new and carryover products.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with peers and share best-practice to ensure consistency in tools, reporting, and communications.
  • Strategic Guidance: Provide strategic guidance to Merchant team.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field required.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in inventory analysis, planning, allocation, or buying.
  • Technological proficiency, including the ability or aptitude to learn new technical applications; high proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and a solutions-oriented mindset, using both analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work in an ever-changing environment with efficiency and accuracy.
  • Demonstrate strong listening, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Able to present problem analysis and recommended solutions in a creative and logical manner to a variety of different departments that motivates them to action.
  • Capable of achieving business results through highly collaborative and cross-functional team-work.
