Job Summary

As a Power-Generation Equipment Repairer with the Army National Guard, you will play a critical role in ensuring the success of military operations by providing reliable power generation and distribution systems. Your expertise will be essential in maintaining the electrical power systems that support various Army activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance checks on generation equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Repair and replace voltage regulators, governors, and circuit cards as needed
  • Adjust frequencies and voltages to enhance equipment efficiency
  • Operate and maintain tactical utility, precise power-generation sets, internal combustion engines, and associated equipment
Required Skills
  • Knowledge of electrical generation and distribution systems
  • Experience with generator and powerplant operations
  • Ability to work with large machinery and electrical systems
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Job training for a Power-Generation Equipment Repairer consists of 10 weeks of Basic Training, where you'll learn basic Soldiering skills, and approximately 12 weeks of Advanced Individual Training, including practice in maintaining electrical power systems.
