About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team as a CTT Instructor at Phoenix Job Corps. As a CNA with a passion for shaping the next generation of healthcare professionals, you will have the opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of our students.

Responsibilities
  • Inspire and educate students in a positive and engaging learning environment, utilizing innovative teaching methods to convey the principles of nursing care, infection control, patient safety, and other essential CNA skills.
  • Conduct hands-on practical sessions, allowing students to apply theoretical knowledge in simulated healthcare settings, and provide constructive feedback and support as students develop their clinical skills and bedside manner.
  • Collaborate with the education team to develop and enhance the curriculum, ensuring it aligns with industry standards and prepares students for real-world challenges.
  • Mentor and guide students in developing strong interpersonal skills, effective communication, and cultural competence.
  • Recognize and address the diverse needs of students, offering additional support and resources as required, and foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment that encourages personal and professional growth.
Requirements
  • Current AZ RN License (good standing) required.
  • Minimum 2 years or direct nursing experience with a minimum 1 year provided in a long-term care facility.
  • Meet one of the following requirements: successful completion of a three-semester credit course on adult teaching and learning concepts, completion of a 40-hours continuing education program in adult teaching and learning concepts, one year of full-time or 1500 hours experience teaching adults, or one year of full-time or 1500 hours experience supervising nursing assistants.
