Chemotherapy Registered Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at the University of Miami. As a Chemotherapy/Infusion Registered Nurse 2, you will play a vital role in delivering patient-centered care in a culturally competent manner.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver patient-centered care in a culturally competent manner, utilizing evidence-based standards of quality, safety, and service.
- Oversee nurses and allied health staff in their daily practice, providing therapeutic and chemotherapy injections and infusions in the outpatient setting.
- Assess assigned patients and evaluate plans, including documentation of nursing care.
- Report symptoms and changes in patients' condition and vital signs, modifying patient treatment plans as indicated.
- Consult with physicians and other healthcare professionals to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
- Prepare patients for and assist with examinations, procedures, and treatments, considering patient age and culture during patient treatments.
- Nurture a compassionate environment by providing psychological support and performing appropriate patient tests and safely administering medications within the scope of practice.
- Communicate plan of care in a timely manner to patient and family, as well as the appropriate team members, ensuring compliance with all regulatory guidelines.
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing, BSN required.
- Valid Florida RN License, BLS/ACLS certifications required.
- Oncology Nursing Society Chemotherapy & Biotherapy Administration Guidelines provider course, certification.
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience in chemotherapy infusion, Emergency or Critical Care Nursing.
