Responsibilities:
- Monitor the expiration dates of medical supplies and ensure timely replacement.
- Triage patient inquiries and communicate test results in a clear and concise manner.
- Attend unit-based in-service and continuing education programs to maintain current knowledge and skills.
- Provide in-office patient care services, including obtaining patient histories, vital signs, and administering medications.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive plan of care based on individual patient needs.
- Maintain inventory of supplies, equipment, and reagents, and ensure timely ordering and delivery.
- Evaluate patient status in emergency situations and determine appropriate care.
- Schedule tests and procedures for patients and communicate with family members regarding treatment and therapies.
- Record diagnosis, treatment plans, progress notes, and doctors' orders in patient charts.
- Coordinate and participate in patient follow-up care, including medication management and education.
Requirements:
- Associate's Degree in Nursing or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
- Current NY State Registered Nurse License and Certification in Infection Control.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
