About the Role

As a Career Development Specialist at Haydon Companies, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our organization. This position is ideal for an individual who is passionate about adult learning and development, with a focus on construction leadership.

The primary function of this role is to assist in developing comprehensive training strategies that align with organizational goals. You will work closely with leaders and subject matter experts to gather and verify training content, ensuring accuracy and relevance.

Your responsibilities will include coordinating, organizing, and facilitating on or offsite training programs and workshops for all levels of employees. You will be responsible for designing engaging and effective training programs, including eLearning modules, instructor-led training, virtual sessions, and multimedia presentations.

You will also oversee the facilitation, logistics, and communication for multiple training programs to ensure timely delivery of training with the necessary resources. Additionally, you will develop and implement employee performance measurement tools to evaluate program success and areas for improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Training Program Development: Design and deliver training programs that meet the needs of various stakeholders, including employees, leaders, and external partners.
  • Facilitation and Logistics: Coordinate the logistics and facilitation of training programs, ensuring seamless execution and high-quality delivery.
  • Employee Performance Measurement: Develop and implement metrics to measure employee performance and program effectiveness, providing actionable insights for improvements.
  • Knowledge Management: Maintain knowledge of trends and best practices in adult learning and facilitation, applying this expertise to enhance training programs and strategies.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., instructional design, adult education, training and development).
  • Experience: Minimum five years' experience in training facilitation or instructional design, preferably in a construction or related industry.
  • Skills: Excellent time management skills, with a proven ability to meet deadlines; excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Tools and Technologies: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, and web-based technologies, as well as knowledge of learning technologies and training tools like Articulate, Adobe Captivate, or similar software for creating interactive learning content and modules.

Salary Range: $85,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
