The construction of a cutting-edge manufacturing facility in Webster, NY is currently in progress. This expansive, state-of-the-art plant, spanning 750,000 square feet, is anticipated to become operational in the near future, paving the way for fairlife's next growth phase as a premier dairy nutrition provider. The facility is set to employ 250 new team members and will process approximately 5 million pounds of milk daily, with potential for future expansion.

Role Summary: The Senior Manager of Warehouse Operations will oversee the leadership and management of the entire Warehouse department, systems, and strategies for the innovative greenfield plant in Webster, NY. Reporting directly to the Plant Director, this position will be responsible for achieving safety, quality, productivity, and financial objectives across warehouse operations. The role includes managing the supply chain system at the site, which encompasses all aspects of storage, receiving, and loading of raw materials and finished goods. Ensuring optimized storage and effective utilization of the Warehouse Management System (WMS) is crucial, alongside maintaining accuracy in inventory and planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the initiation and ongoing operations of the 24/7 warehouse at our advanced dairy processing facility.
  • Oversee all warehouse functions and inventory management within a 112,000 sq. ft. racked storage area and a 90,000 sq. ft. high-density Automated Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS).
  • Foster communication and engagement with team members at all levels to cultivate trust and collaboration, embodying the fairlife culture of 'Believe in Better.'
  • Manage teams responsible for receiving, handling, storage, and distribution of materials for production and finished goods.
  • Collaborate with fairlife's supply chain and North American Operations Unit (NAOU) to meet inventory management and customer service goals.
  • Ensure compliance with warehousing, material handling, and shipping regulations while advising management on necessary actions.
  • Facilitate inventory control through a best-in-class cycle counting program.
  • Enhance the physical condition of the warehouse by optimizing layouts, inspecting equipment, and initiating repairs as needed.
  • Develop a high-performing team of leaders and operators through effective training and development initiatives.
  • Implement automated warehouse metrics to drive Safety, Quality, Productivity, and Customer Service.
  • Achieve financial targets by managing the P&L, operational efficiencies, and analyzing variances.
  • Maintain First Expired, First Out (FEFO) methodology using the warehouse management system, reporting, and analytics.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Experience with Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV), Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRS), Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and Warehouse Control Systems (WCS) is preferred.
  • Proven leadership experience in warehouse, logistics, or supply chain operations.
  • Strong understanding of automated warehouse inventory, shipping, and receiving practices.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Working Conditions:

  • Ability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods.
  • Capable of lifting up to 25 lbs.
  • Frequent reaching from floor to shoulder level during an 8-hour workday.
  • Exposure to various substances, including ammonia, acids, and lubricants.

Food Safety Responsibilities:

  • Report any necessary repairs or adjustments that may impact product quality or safety.
  • Adhere to the color-coded container policy in production areas.
  • Fulfill all duties to meet company, customer, and government standards.
  • Proactively address nonconformities related to food safety and quality.
  • Document any issues concerning food safety and quality of ingredients and processes.
  • Control the processing or delivery of nonconforming products until issues are resolved.

Position Location: Webster, NY

Reports To: Plant Director

Travel Requirements: 5-10% annually, with increased travel during training/onboarding.

Exempt/Nonexempt: Exempt
