Job Overview

The Project Leader 1 (Telecommunications) is a senior leadership position responsible for driving the overall strategy, execution of deliverables, and project completion for complex projects and/or multiple projects simultaneously.

This role requires a proficient understanding and knowledge of Telecommunication Systems, including Fiber Optic and Structured Cabling, CCTV, OSP and ISP Copper, along with DAS.

The Project Leader 1 (Telecommunications) is expected to provide overall development, training, and leadership to Junior Project Leadership, Field-Superintendents, and Trades personnel as it relates to the strategic planning, overall implementation, and ownership of project completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute project plans, including initial planning, proposal creation, design and engineering, project solutioning, field installation, and close-out methods.
  • Lead project teams and provide guidance on project execution, ensuring timely and profitable outcomes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements and best practices.
  • Provide training and development opportunities to junior project leadership and field personnel.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure the company remains competitive.

Industry Expertise:

The candidate being considered must have hands-on experience and knowledge in leading project teams, specialty contracting industries, solution-driven initiatives, and overall project execution. This candidate will be responsible for supporting complex scopes specific to Transit Systems, Healthcare, Government, Federal Aviation (Preferred), and Mission Critical industries.

Requirements:

  • Must have direct experience and a clear understanding of the execution of several phases in the project life cycle, including initial planning, proposal creation, design and engineering, project solutioning, field installation, and close-out methods.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to drive results and deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies.
