Job Title: Human Resources Assistant

Kenworth Northeast, a leading truck dealership, is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant to join our team in Buffalo, NY.

Job Summary:

We are looking for an HR Assistant to support the effective and efficient operations of our human resource department. The successful candidate will perform various administrative tasks, including preparing letters and correspondence, tracking PTO, and maintaining accuracy and confidentiality of personnel, medical, and I-9 files.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare administrative letters and correspondence, including preparation of training and meeting materials, filing, and other duties as required.
  • Track PTO and work with payroll to ensure accurate records.
  • Prepare and mail required notices, including Medicare Part D, CHIPRA, 401k, and other benefits-related communications.
  • Assist employees with benefit-related questions and monitor new hire enrollment dates.
  • Maintain accuracy and confidentiality of personnel, medical, and I-9 files.
  • Assist with new employee paperwork processing, including sending out new hire announcements.
  • Complete termination paperwork and prepare reports as needed for HR Director or other members of management.
  • Perform other duties as required and assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Degree in Human Resource Management, Business, Psychology, or related field preferred but not required.
  • Minimum 1-year experience in HR or a combination of education and experience.
  • Must be able to work with confidential information.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly verbally and in writing.
  • Must be detail-oriented and able to prioritize tasks.
