The Role:

We are in search of a dedicated and skilled Laboratory Technician to contribute to our innovative projects. This position entails executing a range of laboratory functions to assist in our semiconductor design and development initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a robust technical foundation and a keen enthusiasm for acquiring new skills while thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic setting alongside industry experts.

As a Laboratory Technician, your responsibilities will include supporting the design and evaluation of analog/mixed-signal integrated circuits (ICs). This encompasses testing and troubleshooting IC prototypes, developing and maintaining testing setups and equipment, and documenting test outcomes. You will collaborate closely with our design and applications engineering teams to ensure our products adhere to the highest quality benchmarks and are delivered punctually.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and layout printed circuit boards (PCBs) for testing and debugging analog/mixed-signal IC prototypes, including the assessment and characterization of circuit performance.
  • Develop and sustain testing setups and equipment, selecting and procuring suitable testing apparatus, and designing and constructing test fixtures.
  • Document test results meticulously and provide constructive feedback to design engineers regarding the performance and reliability of ICs.
  • Collaborate with design engineers to ensure ICs fulfill product specifications and quality criteria.
  • Contribute to product development by offering insights on testing strategies and plans.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment and supplies, ensuring proper calibration and operational condition.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations within the laboratory environment.
  • Manage logistics for shipping samples and demonstration boards as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of experience with an Associate degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent experience in analog/mixed-signal IC testing and design.
  • Proficiency with standard analog/mixed-signal testing instruments, including oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and power supplies.
  • Experience with IC testing methodologies and processes, including the development and execution of test plans, data analysis, and reporting.
  • Ability to interpret and understand circuit schematics and datasheets.
  • Strong attention to detail and capability to work independently or collaboratively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Familiarity with PCB design and layout tools is advantageous.
