The Department of State Hospitals is seeking a highly skilled Senior Psychologist to join our team in providing exceptional mental health services to our patients. As a Senior Psychologist, you will be responsible for providing substance use disorder treatment services, assessments, and program development.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement clinically indicated substance use disorder treatment services
- Conduct needs analysis and engage in ongoing program development
- Provide education and training to psychologists and other staff members on substance abuse treatment philosophy and application
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive mental health services
- Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans for patients with substance use disorders
- Valid license as a Psychologist issued by the California Board of Psychology
- Earned Doctorate Degree in Psychology from an educational institution meeting the criteria of Section 2914 of the Medical Board of California's Business and Professions Code
- One year of experience in the California state service performing the duties of a Psychologist (Health Facility) (any specialty), or Staff Psychologist (any specialty), or two years of postdoctoral, post-internship experience in the practice of psychology involving assessment and treatment
