Senior Psychologist

We are seeking a highly qualified Senior Psychologist to lead our Mental Health Care Line team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the clinical and administrative operations of our mental health services.
Key Responsibilities- Direct all activities of the Mental Health Care Line, including budget and fiscal management, human resource management, and strategic planning.
- Establish mental health objectives congruent with the philosophy and objectives of the VA, VHA, VISN, and VASDHS.
- Plan, organize, direct, and coordinate complex integrated mental health programs.
- Provide oversight of comprehensive inpatient, residential, and outpatient mental health care for Veterans diagnosed with acute and chronic mental health and/or substance use disorders.
- Collaborate with senior management officials and service chiefs to negotiate, persuade, decide on, and coordinate work-related changes affecting the operations of the Mental Health Care Line.
- Doctoral degree in psychology from a graduate program in psychology accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA), the Psychological Clinical Science Accreditation System (PCSAS), or the Canadian Psychological Association (CPA).
- At least four years of experience as a professional psychologist, with at least one year equivalent to the GS-14 level.
- Ability to supervise and manage a large group of professional staff effectively.
- Ability to accurately apply the qualification standards, assess the potential of current and prospective employees, and promote their professional development.
