Mass General Brigham is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to serve as a Nurse Navigator for Allogeneic Hematopoietic Cell Transplant. This role will be responsible for guiding patients and their loved ones through the complexities of the transplant journey.
Key Responsibilities- Support physicians, advanced practitioners, and program nurses in the coordination of allogeneic transplant services.
- Assist in the orchestration of high-risk, highly sophisticated clinical services while adhering to strict industry standards and guidelines.
- Act autonomously, using critical thinking and good judgment to manage multiple and diverse computer systems.
- Collaborate with the Transplant Search Coordinator to initiate Human Leukocyte Antigen (HLA) typing for recipients and potential donors.
- Work in conjunction with the Transplant Search Coordinator and the NMDP Case Manager to facilitate all National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP) unrelated donor workups.
- Act as a primary point of contact for MGH clinicians, advanced practice providers, lab technologists, social work staff, and quality management.
- Maintain precise and organized records and have a thorough understanding of the sophisticated documentation and clinical testing required for all allogeneic therapy and treatment plans.
- Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Massachusetts.
- At least two years of Hematopoietic Cell Therapy experience.
- Ability to learn multiple electronic platforms.
- Organized, clear communication skills, and ability to work collaboratively with a job share partner.
