As a Cardiac SICU Nurse, you will provide patient-centered care to a highly acute population requiring surgical and percutaneous interventions to manage acute coronary syndromes, valvular disease, cardiac transplantation, and congenital diseases of the heart and vessels.
The Blake 8 Cardiac SICU is an 18-bed unit that provides advanced technologies, including ventricular assist devices, continuous renal replacement therapies, intra-aortic balloon counterpulsation, and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation. Our team is led by a Nursing Director, Medical Director/Intensivist, and a dedicated Clinical Nurse Specialist.
Responsibilities- Provide high-quality, patient-centered care to critically ill patients
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices and evidence-based care
- Contribute to a culture of safety and quality improvement
- Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse license
- Minimum 1 year of recent acute care experience or current ICU experience
