Role Overview
This position involves managing, investigating, and resolving high-severity Property Loss claims with limited oversight. The role emphasizes delivering outstanding customer service to policyholders. You may also support Customer Claims Representatives during in-person inspections or policyholder interactions when necessary.

Attendance and active participation in training sessions are essential for your success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Investigate, assess coverage for losses, and adjust all aspects of high-severity Property Loss claims.
  • Conduct on-site inspections, prepare appraisals for property repairs, and issue payments to policyholders when feasible.
  • Collaborate with Liberty network contractors during the appraisal process.
  • Independently evaluate high-severity and/or large losses.
  • Engage with Liberty network contractors in the claims appraisal process and participate in re-inspections of contractors referred by Liberty.
  • Clarify coverage details, assist policyholders with damage itemization, emergency repairs, and additional living arrangements.
  • Coordinate various vendor services, including contractors, emergency repairs, cleaning services, and replacement services.
  • Identify potentially fraudulent claims.
  • Recommend referrals to the Special Investigations Unit (SIU) when necessary and assist SIU in their investigations and claim resolutions.
  • May be required to participate in catastrophe response efforts, assist in managing catastrophe operations, ensure quality control of independent contractors, and troubleshoot complex or high-profile cases.
  • For catastrophe roles, expect significant travel to claim locations.
  • Support the training of property personnel and act as a technical resource for the office. May provide assistance in the absence of the Claims Team Manager.
Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of coverage options in various homeowner policies is required.
  • Proven ability to manage claims of high complexity and exposure.
  • Strong negotiation skills are essential.
  • Ability to independently manage workload while demonstrating sound judgment.
  • Exceptional customer service skills are a must.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficient computer skills and the ability to navigate multi-faceted systems, along with analytical capabilities.
  • A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience, along with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, is typically required.
  • Completion of advanced property training is necessary.
  • Ability to obtain necessary licensing as required.
