Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is in search of a dedicated and skilled Automation Solutions Consultant to become a vital part of our esteemed Engineering team.

In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to engage with cutting-edge technology and collaborate with exceptional professionals to advance research and drive technological progress.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct installations, training sessions, and validations.
  • After the initial setup, deliver on-site training and showcase the complete solution tailored to the client's needs. Proactively follow up with clients to ensure their satisfaction.
  • Offer both telephone and on-site technical assistance for Mass Spectrometry instruments and assays.
  • Maintain accurate work records using Service Max.
  • Deliver technical presentations to potential collaborators, clients, or company personnel.
  • Provide on-call support, including occasional after-hours assistance as needed.
  • Offer comprehensive technical support and training to clients on automation platforms.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a biological science is required.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience with instrumentation in a laboratory or diagnostic setting is required.
  • Preferred: 2+ years in a technical support role.
  • At least 2 years of experience demonstrating technical product knowledge to address laboratory inquiries is preferred.
  • Clinical Laboratory Scientist or Medical Technologist credentials are preferred.
  • Experience with MALDI-TOF mass spectrometry and/or Liquid Handler instruments is preferred.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Willingness to travel 50% of the time; up to 75% travel may be required, including occasional weekends and international trips.
  • A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required.
  • A valid passport is necessary.

Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary range for this position is $66,000.00–$99,000.00.

This role may also qualify for a variable annual bonus based on individual, team, and company performance in accordance with company policy.
