Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Network Infrastructure Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our network engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and secure Cisco networks for our clients.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement scalable Cisco networks according to client specifications
  • Perform core upgrades on Cisco network equipment and migrate existing hardware to newer models
  • Travel to various sites in downtown Louisville to perform labeling, set up racks, and execute cutovers on specified dates
  • Analyze existing hardware, software, and networking systems to identify areas for improvement
  • Test and troubleshoot installed Cisco Systems to ensure optimal performance
  • Resolve technical issues with networks and hardware in a timely and efficient manner
  • Perform speed and security tests on installed networks to ensure compliance with industry standards
  • Upgrade or replace hardware and software systems as needed to maintain optimal network performance
  • Assist in managing other networking projects as required
Required Skills and Qualifications

Requirements:

  • BS or BA degree in a technical field, preferably in Computer Science or related field
  • CCNA certification and 5+ years of professional network engineering/administration experience
  • 3+ years of experience working with Cisco devices and a solid understanding of Cisco routers and Firewalls
  • Experience with SDWAN, especially with Aruba/Meraki, and a strong understanding of network security principles
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with customers and colleagues
  • Local to Louisville, KY, and willing to travel on-site to two different data center locations as required
