Senior Network Engineer

Republic Bank & Trust is seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Information Systems organization, you will be responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining our voice and data network, load balancers, data centers, campus networks, branch networks, firewalls, wireless, SDWAN, and UPS's.
Key Responsibilities- Design and support the Bank's network connectivity
- Plan, design, and deploy new LAN/WAN network infrastructure
- Design, administer, configure, and monitor network equipment, including UPS's, ATS's, phones, routers, and switches, load balancers, and VPN concentrators
- Support and administer the phone system
- Ensure network devices receive backups
- Design, create, and maintain firewall policies as needed
- Design, configure, and maintain VPN's
- Perform network maintenance, including upgrades, hotfixes, and security configurations
- Design and support branch and campus networks through SDWAN and traditional networking
- Design and support wireless networks
- Ensure network design drawings are up to date
- Monitor and maintain technology systems to ensure uptime
- Ensure the security, availability, and integrity of the Bank's network
- Implement best practices for the service area
- Work with the Manager to ensure compliance with technical service delivery processes and policies
- Act as liaison between Information Systems and business units to ensure business requirements are met
- Ensure networks meet regulatory requirements for availability, data security, and performance
- Comply with Change Control policies and procedures
- Ensure accuracy of computing asset inventory
- Resolve technical issues in a timely manner
- Facilitate periodic audits of technical services processes, computing assets, and service delivery
- Keep technical skills current and relevant through training and development opportunities
- Support IS department goals and service level objectives
- Provide on-call support as needed
- Support disaster recovery and business continuity planning programs
- Maintain a working knowledge of compliance requirements affecting the position and area of responsibilities
- Model and foster behaviors that support the Bank's values and corporate culture
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned
- Minimum of 5+ years' experience in direct technical support in a client-server-based computing environment
- Experience with Cisco Networking, SDWAN, Meraki, and/or Cisco Wireless
- Cisco network certifications preferred
- Experience with Internet and private carrier WAN connections (DIA, MPLS, MetroE)
- Comprehensive understanding of TCP/IP and the OSI layer model
- Comprehensive understanding of routing protocols (EIGRP, OSPF, BGP)
- Knowledge of software-defined networking (VXLAN)
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills for effective interactions with internal and external customers
- Self-motivated and work well in a team environment
- High energy level and strong sense of urgency

Other Requirements- Travel between Republic Banking facilities is required
- Occasional out of town travel is required
- Flexible work schedule that will include some evenings and weekends
- Stay abreast of new developments, best practices, and statutory and regulatory changes
