Chemical Engineer for Nuclear Materials Research

At the Naval Nuclear Laboratory, we are seeking a highly skilled Chemical Engineer to join our team in the research and development of novel nuclear materials, components, and systems. The successful candidate will have a strong background in materials science, control systems, and chemical engineering, with experience in data analytics, statistical design of experiments, and machine learning. They will be responsible for developing and implementing optimized process parameters, planning and designing laboratory equipment, and conducting presentations as needed.
We offer a competitive salary range of $83,130.70 annually, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance, disability and life insurance, and a 401(k) savings program. As a Chemical Engineer at the Naval Nuclear Laboratory, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from development to laboratory and factory deployment. To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field, with 4 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 2 years of experience. You will also need to be a U.S. citizen and pass a Federal background investigation.
