  • Participate in high-fidelity computational analyses.
  • Use both proprietary and commercial CFD and computational aero-acoustic solvers.
  • Interface with experimentalists to ensure high-quality data acquisition.
  • Develop ideas and concepts to improve aerodynamic/aero-acoustic performance and operability of turbomachinery components.
  • Collaborate with the GE Aerospace engineering community to communicate and validate state-of-the-art aerodynamic and aero-acoustic prediction methodologies and analysis systems.

Requirements:

  • Doctorate in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related disciplines.
  • Masters in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related disciplines with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience and knowledge of fluid mechanics, aerodynamics, and CFD.
  • Good communication skills and ability to interface with senior leaders and customers with clarity and confidence.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Must be willing to work out of an office located in Niskayuna, NY.
