As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will contribute to the planning, development, and transition of technologies from concept to products and/or services for GE internally and external clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct research in an interdisciplinary team on new reconstruction and image processing for CT systems leveraging AI technologies.
  • Prepare and participate in project and technical reviews.
  • Provide expertise to help resolve technical challenges across the organization.
  • Collaborate in the development of internal and external project proposals and initiatives.
  • Protect intellectual property through patents where appropriate.
  • Foster a multidisciplinary and inclusive team environment.
Requirements

  • PhD in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Math, Physics, with at least 4 years experience in CT systems and AI-based reconstruction, system design, image reconstruction, detector physics, and/or modeling.
  • Deep knowledge and experience in medical imaging, radiation physics, and image reconstruction and with a focus on CT, PET, and/or Nuclear, or X-ray imaging systems.
  • Hands-on experience in evaluating and optimizing medical imaging systems or Monte Carlo modeling.
  • A proven record of research demonstrated by peer-reviewed conference proceedings, and journal publications.
  • Must be willing to work out of an office located in Niskayuna, NY.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with NIH, ARPA-H or other government-funded programs as a co-investigator or Principal Investigator.
  • Proficiency with software development in MATLAB, C++, and/or Python.
