We are seeking a skilled Per Diem Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at Advocate Aurora Health in Grafton, Wisconsin. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and ensuring the highest level of medical imaging services.
Job SummaryThis per diem position offers flexible scheduling opportunities for an experienced Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to work with our talented team of healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate will possess excellent technical skills, strong communication abilities, and a passion for delivering top-notch patient care.
Responsibilities- Operate ultrasound equipment to perform general, vascular, and cardiac procedures/studies, accurately differentiating between normal and pathologic findings.
- Review patient medical records to obtain necessary clinical information, including patient history, lab results, and physician orders, ensuring exam accuracy.
- Position patients and select proper transducers and technical factors for accurate ultrasound procedures, adjusting factors as needed to attain optimal images.
- Maintain safety, mental, and physical comfort of patients during procedures.
- Use cognitive sonographic skills to identify, record, and adapt procedures as necessary based on anatomical, pathological, diagnostic information, and images.
- Competency in all general and/or vascular sonographic procedures routinely performed in the hiring department.
- Ability to use independent judgment to accurately differentiate between normal and pathologic findings.
- Knowledge of aseptic techniques.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Prioritization, work independence, and simultaneous assignment management capabilities.
- Schedule flexibility and adaptability to constant change.
The estimated annual salary for this position is $85,000-$110,000, depending on experience. Benefits include:
