About the Job
We are seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join our team at Advocate Aurora Health in Grafton, Wisconsin. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for operating CT equipment to perform basic and intermediate diagnostic procedures.
Responsibilities
- Operate CT equipment to perform diagnostic procedures including basic imaging processing, body, head, chest, abdomen, pelvis, contrast, orthopedic, and extremity scans.
- Obtain medical history from patients and compare requisitions to physicians' orders to ensure exam accuracy.
- Position patients and select proper scanning factors, adjust factors to attain the appropriate images, and provide radiation protection and safety in accordance with regulatory agencies.
- Prepare and administer contrast media under the direction of the Radiologist, and assist in proper scanning techniques.
- Post-process images as directed and accurately identify and label images identifying patient name, medical record unit number, and location or position of scan on all images.
- Maintain records in accordance with various regulatory agencies and enter patient and study information into the radiology information system.
Requirements
- Radiographer license issued by the state of Wisconsin.
- Registered Technologist (RT) registration issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Computed Tomography (CT) registration issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) within 18 months.
- BASIC Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) within 6 months.
Salary and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience.
