Job Summary

This Executive Commercial Leader - Aftermarket Railcar Parts will provide leadership for commercial activity related to the Aftermarket Locomotive/Car Sales globally.

The Commercial Leader, along with their team, will be responsible for developing and executing commercial sales strategies for Wabtec's customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute commercial sales strategies for Wabtec's customers
  • Lead the development of the parts strategy for Wabtec's Aftermarket Railcar Parts suite of products
  • Define the strategy and scope for the next generation of services agreements
  • Build and execute organization strategy, including coaching, mentoring, and developing the team
  • Execute on assigned operating plan and targets to assure profitable and productive service sales
  • Build influential relationships with assigned customers at all levels and develop strategies to win market share business from those customers
  • Develop customer strategies and leadership in their execution
  • Work across the organization to lead a cross-functional/matrixed team to scope, negotiate, sign, and deliver outcomes to the customers
  • Demonstrate commercial and technical expertise in the railroad and locomotive market
  • Be responsible to learn quickly when facing new problems and analyze successes and failures for improvement opportunities
  • Provide specific and actionable customer feedback that our teams can use to ensure alignment of requirements and roadmaps to meet specific and broad customer needs
  • See ahead clearly to anticipate future trends and consequences and be accordingly flexible to adapt to changes
  • Develop a deep understanding of customer business model, desired outcomes, and pain points and be dedicated to meeting their expectations and mapping desired outcomes to Wabtec offerings
  • Work collaboratively with Wabtec's partner network to identify and develop new opportunities and improve Wabtec's overall alignment to customer desired outcomes
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Transportation/Logistics, Engineering, or Computer Science from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum of 10 years in Rail industry Sales, and/or Sales leadership
  • Must be willing and available to travel 30%+ of the time
  • Proficient in English
